I Can’t Use This, Can You stems dually from my love of stylised Claymation and passion for environmental welfare. I felt that a mix of photo bashed backgrounds and Claymation would work in favour of a hand-crafted aesthetic but also correlate with thematic elements such as over-pollution and mindless consumerism. This film gave students the option to work outside of the standard 2D/3D pipeline and experiment with foundation creation of educational children's media. With a team equipped with a wide array of skills, we were able to achieve quirky, hand-crafted visuals with a mockumentary-styled narrative holding humanity accountable for the everyday waste we don't consider. Change starts with us, and we can only begin by holding ourselves accountable and using our voices to make a difference. ‘I Can’t Use This, Can You’ aims to embody this child-like view and make it relatable to all audiences.
